More Than Just a Kennel

Boarding at Plum Creek Canines provides your dog with a balanced routine of exercise, enrichment, one-on-one care, and quiet kennel time to rest and recharge. Dogs aren’t left to sit in kennels all day; instead, they enjoy a structured schedule that keeps them engaged, calm, and comfortable throughout their stay. This approach helps your dog feel secure and content, so they return home happy and well-adjusted.

  • Personalized Routine: Walks, enrichment, and rest for each dog’s needs.

  • Mental Stimulation: Puzzles and activities to keep dogs engaged.

  • Safe Socialization: Optional, supervised playgroups.

  • Rest & Recovery: Quiet time to recharge and prevent overstimulation.

  • Consistency & Comfort: Routines and guidance to keep dogs calm and secure.

All dogs must be:

  • MINIMUM 5 months old

  • Up to date on PARVO, RABIES, and DISTEMPER vaccines. Bordetella/kennel cough is RECOMMENDED, but not required.

Dogs may not be in heat while being boarded. If they come into heat during  their stay and cannot be picked up within 1 hour, an additional $10/day fee applies.

Boarding may not be the best fit for every dog. For the safety and well-being of all, Plum Creek Canines may determine that a dog is not suited for boarding, either temporarily or permanently, at our discretion.

What to bring:
Dog on a leash, meals pre-portioned
What NOT to bring:
Blankets, bowls, bedding, toys, treats, chews. We have all of those ready!

I do my best to stay flexible with drop-off and pick-up times so your schedule can be accommodated, but that flexibility goes both ways. Please plan to come at the time we schedule together and give as close to an exact time as possible. I coordinate private training sessions, board & train schedules, exercise, and rest periods around arrivals and departures. Showing up significantly early or late not only disrupts the flow of care for your dog, but also affects the other dogs in my program. Clear communication and sticking to the agreed-upon time helps ensure every dog receives the attention they deserve.

For more information on our holiday fees, visit our home page!

Boarding is $30 per day, counted from drop-off to the following morning. Pickup after 9:00am will incur an additional $25 daycare fee.

  • Food: Please pack your dog’s regular food, with an extra meal or two for long stays or during winter travel delays. If your dog runs out of food, we charge $5 per meal and do our best to provide a substitute that fits their needs, though it may not be exact.

  • Meal Prep: Pre-packaged individual meals are preferred for accuracy and ease. For long stays, clearly labeled containers or baggies are fine. Please avoid bringing an entire large bag of food.

  • Anxiety Medication: We do administer oral anxiety medication if your dog requires it, but please be sure to give the proper dose before drop-off so your dog arrives calm and comfortable.

  • Treats: Do not bring new or extra treats beyond what your dog eats daily. Boarding can upset a dog’s stomach, and new foods may make this worse.

  • Medications & Supplements: Must be packed and clearly labeled with written instructions. We only administer oral medications, no injections.

  • Special Diet Needs: If your dog requires add-ons (supplements, toppers, special mixtures), please pre-package them with meals whenever possible to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Bedding & Bowls: Please leave bedding and bowls at home. We provide clean, safe options here.

  • Toys: You may bring up to two toys from home if you’d like. We also have plenty available, so extras aren’t needed.
